Questions About Japanese Whaling Activities?

  • Posted on September 30, 2009 at 2:42 am

Why does Japan claim that it catches whales for “scientific purposes”, when everyone knows these end up served in Tokyo’s restaurants?
Why do they try to exceed the IWC permitted quota from the Southern Ocean (Sky News, 3/2/2009)
And finally, why don’t we just torpedo them?

The “scientific purposes” is their loophole for doing what they want to do ( ie. catch and kill whales for a profit.) I think it would better if we boycott Sushi restaurants worldwide instead of military enforcement – works better.

It does it because it gets away with it.
I think its a sick depraved thing to kill such a beautiful creature of the sea. they are harmless and dont deserve to die in that way.
    Boycott Japan and support Greenpeace

For a supposedly civillised country, they are like ignorant morons. Why on earth would anyone choose to hunt an endangered species? I hope Sea Shephard sorts them out by blowing these whaling ships out the water.

Its so horrible that they do that.
I think that someone needs to do soemthing and quick.
