If You Could Buy Omega 3 And It Was In A Formula Better For You Than Fish Oil, Would You Buy It?

A lot of Fish oil on the market today does not specify which part of what fish is used to make the oil. Therefore how can people who buy these products know what they are getting? Fish!!!! could mean Mackeral hallibut, cod, etc, all with different levels of omega 3. In the race to sell us suppliments to help us be healthy, are the people selling “fish oil” actually selling oil which may or may not be that good for us but making us think it’s doing us some good? Talking point for a Wednesday. Any ideas?

Your statement seems a little far-fetched. Fish oil would have a nutrition label stating how much omega 3 you are getting per dose. If it isn’t doing us any good then the company is really throwing itself open for legal skirmishes. However it may be possible that the fish oil contains traces of heavy metals such as mercury – but if that were the case, I’d imagine FDA would quickly get wind of it and take action.
