Sorry, the comment form is now closed.
If you are taking a substantial amount of Omega 3 Fish Oil, then no, you don’t need to eat fish. Not eating fish will also protect you from mercury and other types of harmful chemicals found in fish. If you want to have better memory, you should also take Folic Acid which is essential for brain health and improved memory.
No strong facts or studies out there that suggests taking any herbals or vitamin supplements will improve your memory.
Fish oil may help with your cholesterol, but I haven’t heard anything about memory. Sure I’ve heard that fish is brain food, but I don’t think that has been strongly been proven yet.
Memory improvements takes time to develop. You can only train yourself to remember things by repetition.
If you want to have a better memory through food your going to have to remember to take other kinds of fats as well, including those nasty saturated fats from animals that you here so much about. Remember the brain is 60% fat—http://www.devdelay.org/newsletter/artic…
oh yeah and you should take other forms of Omega3s, over fishing is a huge problem. and also maybe growing new brain cells would be better too—http://mentalhealth.about.com/library/we… and http://www.brainweek.co.nz/Contents/TryG…
Omega 3 fish oil has essential fatty acids that you need. It needs to have high amounts of DHA & EPA.
I did find one brand that is good http://www.realfoodnutrients.com/amf/home.htm Its called the Alert Mind Formula.
u didnt say how much oil you are taking daily.. The pills im sure will help, but if you eat SOME fish each week it cant hurt…just to make sure.
