If your not sure what is meant by “G1″, well that means Generation 1.

Generation 1 is the range of Transformer toys produced during the time of the original series between 1984 and 1991. These toys have now matured and are a collectors market now that 25 years have passed since their launch.

After the original series ended, generation 2 took over between 1993 and 1995.

Beast wars and machines then ran between 1996 and 2001. Many other revisions have took place with this franchise since then, leading right up to 2007 when Transformers: The Movie was made by Michael Bay. The sequel, Revenge Of The Fallen is about to hit the cinemas and is also directed by Michael Bay.

Computer generated special effects may have taken over these days, but to the purist collector the 25 year old G1 range is where its at,preferred., with no substitute.
